I wanted to build a "stitch-and-glue" boat, but started small to get some experience.
Clark Craft has plans for a 13 foot canoe/kayak built from 1/4" plywood.
I got the plans on June 11 (a birthday present from my wife) and finished it on July 11.
Easy build, nice little boat, and lots of fun to work on.
