Bottom Paint

Hi- I am not sure what type of paint to use.

I have a 66 Chris Craft 18 Super Sport wood Boat it has the copper or bronze paint on the bottom as per factory.

It is time to repaint, what type do you think is best?

The Boat is used rarely on a summer basis
in fresh water lake and is on a trailer when not being used.

There is a great comment by Al, on Daniel Gromek’s woodboat underside paint question that more or less says it all.

The only thing I can add is to check out what the rules are about using Copper paints on Lake Kiowa.

I’ll refrain from commenting on bully boy legislators attacking soft targets, suffice to say best to keep out of trouble by using something that doesn’t look like copper.
