21 foot Shetland model called Daisy

by Mr S Strachan
(Shetland Isles)

The boat was built in 1965, heavy boards up to waterline to enable it to go on skerries and kill seals.

I need to replace a board would like some advice please and thank you.

P.S. Seals were sold to pet food companies common practice in those days,

Hello Mr Strachan,

Can you tell us a bit more about “Daisy”?

How is she planked?

Is she clinker built, as in a Yoal?

You say you need to replace ‘a board’, is it due to damage or rot?

PS. I trust she is no longer being used to kill seals to feed pampered pooches.
