Stain for Century Boats red mahogany

Six years ago I started restoration of a 1950 Century IMPERIAL Sportsman.

I sanded the hull down to bare wood.

I found a stain that was specifically labeled "Century Red Mahogany" I cannot find it now.

Can anyone help me find it again?

It sounds like you're looking for a very specific stain to finish your restoration project. Given the unique product you're looking for, here are a few suggestions:

1. **Check with Manufacturers**: You might want to contact various stain manufacturers directly, especially those known for producing marine finishes, like Interlux, Minwax, or Pettit. They may have the exact product you're looking for or suggest a suitable alternative.

2. **Lumberyards and Woodworking Shops**: Specialty lumber yards or woodworking shops often carry a range of stains and finishes that you might not find in a typical home improvement store.

3. **Online Marketplaces**: There are endless possibilities on online marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, and Etsy. Sometimes discontinued products or hard-to-find items can be sourced from these places.

4. Custom Mixing: If you can't find the exact stain, you might consider having a stain custom mixed. Some paint stores offer color matching and might be able to create the stain if you can provide a sample of the color.

Remember, it is always a good idea to test the stain on a scrap piece of similar wood to ensure the color matches your expectations before applying it to your boat.
