cold moulded mahogany strip, epoxy or no epoxy?

hi I have recently stripped my topsides attend to a few seams and what not .
I was planning on using epoxy and then a uv varnish ontop, however I'm getting mixed messages from the internet.
Has anyone done a similar project with success?
What was your methods?
ps its a 30 foot sailing boat
