The boat is long gone, wrecked on the beach in Brooklyn, NY. Pictures were taken in 1969 during an overhaul.

 30 foot Coast Guard Utility Boat

I served at the Short Beach Life Boat Station Freeport Long Island 1960 to 1963.

I ran a wooden 30 foot boat.

It was powered by a 1920s Kermeth gas engine.

It was impossible to get parts for and was broken down as much as it ran.

I found one about 2 years ago that was in Michigan called the Muskie.

The owners were selling it for $50k I think.

It was advertised by some Florida brokers last year.

It was WWII vintage-I know I grew up on the sister CG-30329.

John there is a 25 footer located in California right now on eBay, I've actually inquired on it and it is watertight and runs, it does need work though.

I've seen lighthouses, Coast Guard cutters, and even Blackhawks sell on this website.

My dad even bought and restored a people mover which was the same type they used to land on Normandy Beach.

I just don't know the real name for it.

Hello John, not sure if you found what you want but as I love old boats there’s a thirty foot lapstrake for sale, Lasqueti Island, the price is 4500.

Real solid boat had made for US navy.

Nice boat, 471 motor ruining fine, it had house work but was removed for rebuild.

So it’s just an open boat, you would have to build the cab but hull the same and that Canadian funds.

Nice boat in the BC Salish Sea two days ruining time from Seattle nice drive this time of the year don’t think you would find another like it unless you build it.

One of my in laws ran one off the Oregon, coast to find one made of wood, will be a real barn fine.

Most were steel even the air force’s crash boats. which look the same with two big gas engines in them.

There’s still a few of the wood ones out there, think they’re forty ft.

One I know sits in dog patch Lady Smith.

But if you really want one when I was running a bed and breakfast a fellow stayed with us on Galiano island from California, he was having a boat built by Greg Foster I know his son still build boats.

If he thinks it’s interesting enough and with the dollar the way it is you may give that a shot.

Its a small ship yard and that’s a simple build.

Then theirs prosision cutters in Ontario that will cut the couplet boat for you, just send them the plan put it together yourself or they will do it for you
