A Dream or vision, maybe both.

My name is Barry

I have restored several old boats of different makes and models just for enjoyment.

I would love to find a large boat one that I could live on for several days / weeks at a time.

I would like an old diesel engine and if sail also then would have to have weights and very low draft.

I have never sailed but would like to.

An old fishing trawler conversion would be just fine as long as it is wood, I am not too interested in fiberglass but would consider it again as always I am not real picky.

I found the perfect one a few years back, she was a small sailboat with a single cylinder engine and all brass with a great history….. but due to my Father's health at the time I let her sail away with a very heavy heart.

If anyone knows of something that I might be able to move please feel free to contact me.

I will promise to take care of her and when an if I cannot I will pass her on to someone of like mind.

Thank you.

How Large is Large

We are in North Caroline and I know of a 1961 36ft CC Constellation that can be purchased at a very low cost.

Basically I am told that they will let it go for the yard / storage fees.
