64 Viking

by Doug Cox

64 Viking out of water for 2 years.

How long can a wood hull be out before "major" restoration is needed?

Hull was sound when hauled out.

No problem, I have pacemaker boat and soak boat inside bilge.

It will expand then seals up good.

Put her in water with sling on it.

Your boat will be fine.

If the hull hasn’t developed any rot then the only ‘problem’ will be how long she takes to “take up”.
