3 pieces of bottom paint chipped on Century boat

Hi Mike,
My 16ft. 1949 Century plywood hull boat recently developed 3 areas that leak.
Paint is chipped off and I need to make it watertight again.

Exploration on the internet suggests epoxy after sanding-then painting. Can you give me any suggestions or advice.

Thanks
Mark

More info? Newbie
by: Jeff

I have recently purchased my first boat, a little wooden runabout with the same problem.

Could you give me more details on where to find more info on this process?

Where do I find out about "epoxy" and how it works? Thanks.

Bottom Paint

Sounds good but bear in mind that the wood needs to be clean and very dry for epoxy to work properly.

And beware of sanding through the outer layer of the plywood.
