1964 Penn Yan Mariner 15-foot

by Paul Woodell
(Danbury, CT)

15' Penn Yan Mariner with trailer and lots of extras.

Mahogany plywood over white oak ribs.

Boat is in VG condition with low hours and very original.

Only rot is about 18" at the top of the stem and toe rail. Partially repaired with penetrating epoxy.

Originally a short-shaft transom, it was professionally lifted to use long-shaft motors.

Motor is a mid-80s Mercury 50hp 4-cyl with VERY low hours.
Carbs and fuel pump professionally rebuilt and impeller replaced last summer.
Minor issue with forward control.

Bunk trailer was new in 2001, lights work, spare included.

The rear mahogany seat (and back, not pictured) needs the install completed.

Includes: (2) VG and clean Kiekhaefer tanks, battery and box, anchor, bumpers, dock ropes, seat cushions, 1 year old cover, Bimini top, ladder, oars, etc.

Lights and horn work.

Bright and bottom paint 2 summers ago.
Many parts revarnished.
Didn't see water last year.
Family is just too busy for a boat too.
