Just wanted to comment on your Sea Rover Project, though I have not seen a picture Of the original the description goes as Follows: the original Sea Rover was given two Thin coats of of Pettits cream colored deck Paint on the canvas decks, Plasticlear on Brightwork and mahogany, and Boatlife white on The hull sides - green on the bottom.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Gerold,

I was excited to see your post. You say your boat is called a Sea Rover by William Jackson.

I have a Sea Babe also by Jackson.

They look very similar so I wonder what the differences might be.

I have been restoring my Sea Babe which my FIL built in 1958. Do you have the original Jackson plans? I have a set for the Sea Babe.

I have a page here on DIY Wood Boat if you'd like to visit and see the pics I have shared. www.diy-wood-boat.com/lady-like-me-1958-sea-babe-restoration.html

Good luck with your project!
I look forward to seeing the pictures.
