Wooden sloop 7 metre restoration project

Sadly I have for sale a beautiful 4 berth 23 foot wooden sailing sloop.

She was built in the 1980's on the River Tigne, I believe she is one of three built.

I do have all the paper work and original drawings.

I also have the name of the original owner and also two subsequent owners.

Construction is of Mahogany above water line and Oroko below.

The deck is Teak on ply which is in fair condition.

Inboard Beta 14hp diesel engine which is in good condition.

The mast and boom are aluminium with roller reefing, also it has a aluminium boom kicker which is unusual for a boat of this size, all are in good condition, also complete with spinnaker pole.

Mainsail and spinnaker are in good condition, the foresail sacrificial strip will need to be replaced.

This is a renovation project, too date I have removed all the paint and had considerable work done to the stem.

The inner stem has been completely renewed with new ribs and the outer stem has been made but needs to be fitted.

The ply sub deck to forward has been replaced.

There are some planks that need replacing mainly to the bow and amidships, where the chain stays are, also the transom will need to be re-laminated.

To date I have spent around a £1400 on repairs, bills available to view.

I am having to sell due to ill health.

So I have had to call a halt to the project as I would never get to sail her.

All work has been carried out by Boatwork's to a high standard.

As you can see in the photo the rudder has been removed, it was removed to enable it to be stripped and sanded, so it is included.

The prop was also removed, that is also included.

This yacht would make a superb project and once on the water would be an asset to the quality of the original design and also a crowd puller.

She does sail like a witch and is a safe boat in any weather.
