Waterproof Membrane for double planked Chris Craft?

Has anyone seen a blue membrane material used between hulls on old Chris Crafts?

 Replacement Bottom

The bottom was redone at some point with a blue material and a red bedding compound.

I was wondering if anyone had ever seen this before or know anything about that type of bottom?

Many of these double planked boats just used painted canvas or something similar, so would have thought that any modern, strong flexible waterproof material would be ideal.

The building industry uses a host of flexible PVC materials.

A lot of folk use the 5200 method, the 5200 acting as a rubber membrane between the inner layer and the outer layer.
