If you are sanding to remove large areas with a belt, orbital or vibrator sander and paint builds up quickly on the sand paper.

Dampen a cloth with kerosene and wipe over the area that you want to sand..

It absolutely prevents the paint from building on the paper.

You will be amazed

I never came across that one, will try it someday.

Another tip to the same end: Abranet 'sandpaper' by the company Mirko from Finland.

It is a fine mesh really, that allows the dust to pass through the material very easily.

Absolutely fantastic especially on orbital sanders and also for hand sanding.
