Study case

by Karmina
(Iasi)

I'm willing to make a case study on the multi-functionality of boats (4-6m).

I would like to know from boat users which are their needs when boating (either it is fishing, relaxing etc)

To be more specific, I formulated some questions, like in a questionnaire.

1.Which can be the functions of a multifunctional boat? (4 - 6m)

2.Which are the advantages and disadvantages of your boat?
Would you like to add any other function to it? What can that be?

3.Which can be the activities on a boat? Any new, unconventional ideas?

Thank you very much.

Build a model of Pearson-30 sailboat

by Bill Ruussell
(Davidson, NC)

To build a model of Pearson-30 sailboat.

I need a set of plans for subject boat.

Picture profiles would help as well as original specs

I can loft and build the model from scratch. __ I think !!

Similar 30 footers like Catalina 30 might help.

Anyone out there have suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Bill Russell

50's Sea babe design, but with in board.

I have acquired a 50's design "Sea Babe" 15ft motor boat.

I have located a copy of the original plans, but they detail only an outboard version.

The hull is very similar except for a keel which houses the main shaft.

I am wondering if this is a home made modification or if a later in board design was produced?

Cheers Zeb

1947 Correct Craft Wood Boat
by: Mike

Well Simon it looks great in the advert.

And done up she will be a gem.

She could be quite a bargain if she is as good as she seems.

You might also try bargaining.

But if it were me I would want to go have a good look at her up close.

Boat Nails
by: Mike

Hi,

In the UK about £3.50 per hundred grams seems to be the present average.

You can order them from Classic Chandlery

In the US they are about $12+ per lb.

Hi Nate,

Have you tried the International Penguin Class Dinghy Association .

They have a For Sale and Want section.

It is certainly worth a try.

Mike.
