I want to put amas on my kayak for sailing.

It is 13' fiberglass.

But I am thinking of making them of plywood sides with board top and maybe bottom, any advice?

I would have thought that stitch and glue plywood would be the simplest method.

But I guess it depends on what shape you want them to be.

There is a very nice example on siling skiffs blog.
