Is there a trick to removing silicon bronze wood screws?

They always strip or the heads break off.

Screw that!

First make sure that the screwdriver bit is the correct fit, for a slotted screw the bit should fill the slot both widthways and lengthways.

Then you want some heat.

You can either use a soldering iron to heat the screw by holding the hot tip on the head of the screw for a few minutes.

Or use either a hairdryer or paint stripper heat gun to warm the wood for a few minutes and then before the wood has time to cool try the screw.

If that doesn't work I'm afraid you'll just have to drill them out.
